The following Privacy Policy outlines how Alice E M (Merry) Westall, trading as Dogberry Dog Training & Behaviour (hereafter referred to as Dogberry), complies with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), the DPA (Data Protection Act) [pre-GDPR enforcement] and the PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations).

What information is being collected?

Dogberry receives, collects and stores any information you enter on our website through our online booking system, our online payment system, or in our application forms, or information provided to us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; computer and connection information. We may also use software tools (such as Google analytics) to measure and collect session information.

Dogberry will collect the following information from you:

·         Address

·         Email address

·         Mobile number

·         Pet’s name and date of birth

·         Any relevant disabilities or medical conditions you choose to disclose

·         Names of household members

·         Ages of any children in the household (up to 16 years old)

I do not hold any bank or payment details for any of my clients. I retain copies of invoices and records of payments made for six years, to meet my legal obligations with respect to record keeping for tax purposes.

How does Dogberry collect this information?

Information is collected via our online payment and booking systems, and via forms emailed to you after booking, and through discussion during consultations, follow-up sessions or classes. Information is stored on a password-protected computer and/or on a Google Drive account.

Why does Dogberry collect this information?

I collect this information in order to meet my legal obligations and provide you with pet training and behaviour advice and services, ongoing customer assistance, and to administer your account. I also collect this information to create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred non-personal information, which may be used to provide and improve our respective services. 

Contact information might be used for promotional and marketing purposes, with your express permission. You can opt out of receiving marketing emails or messages at any time, and at such a point any information you have consented to be used for marketing purposes will be deleted.

Who will this information be shared with?

Our company is hosted on the Squarespace.com platform. Squarespace.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Squarespace.com’s data storage, databases and the general Squarespace.com applications.

I keep this information on file, on a password protected computer, and/or on a Google Drive account, while someone remains a client, and for twelve months after someone ceases to be a client (in case of any follow up issues that might need to be resolved, e.g. further training sessions, final payments, refunds etc.).

We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires or to send updates about Dogberry Dog Training & Behaviour. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.

Your information will not be shared with third parties except for the veterinarian and/or veterinary practice your pet is registered, with your consent. We may request to forward your information if we need to refer you on to another dog professional for behavioural work.

What will Dogberry do with your information?
